It is now my turn to work through a illness of some sorts, everyone in the house has had the pleasure of some type of cold, I myself am currently working through bronchitis…I blame the lack of bacon in my life, when I eat bacon I’m not sick, when I am the only person in my house eating bacon, I am the only person not sick. Therefor I need more bacon in my life.
We are currently surrounded by a winter wonderland, we had a good 2 feet last week and last night we had a mix of rain and snow, giving us this view
However trying to leave the house this morning to feed the animals was a real….treat
Luckily Toph is strong than I am, because I was unable to open the door.
I have finished the tiger
I started a blanket for Lorelai’s best friend who just turned 11 and I am hoping it will be finished by her birthday party
I’m on day 8 and almost ready to decrease.
I have also started a veil for one of my best friends who will be getting married this coming fall
We are excited for the upcoming year on the farm, we have ordered several fruit trees, we have wood to build some animal shelters so we can get cows and sheep within the next two years and we also have left over free lumber that was given to us, that Toph wants to use to build a cabin out in the woods….he may watch too much Alaska The Last Frontier 😉
Hope you folks have a fantastic day!
I’ve been in one of those the last couple of weeks. I’ve been working on orders and more. I love Christmas but this year it has exhausted me. When I do dream at night, I dream about being exhausted.
We have had lots of snow and today is no different, we are expecting anywhere between 17″ – 24″ depending on which weather app or news site you look at.
We had a good Christmas and have all been enjoying our gifts, especially myself.
I usually use the refillable cups, but my best friend send me this delicious coffee to go in my birthday cup! Any Gilmore Girls fans here?!
Though I am torn between this beautiful silk my MIL gifted me with
and this set of bags made for us with our farm logo from my Inlaws
Here are a few things I’ve currently finished and one item I had hoped to have finished by now
Yes I jumped on the messy bun hat board, I have four more I need to finish.
This was supposed to be gone forever ago, I now have the legs and arms sewn on. Hoping to get the tail and head sewn on tonight.
Illness and exhaustion has kept me from finishing him. Here’s hoping.
Have a nice night folks!
After enjoying a day in Maine yesterday at the Magic of Christmas symphony,
we were greeted this morning with half a foot of beautiful snow. The kids have been enjoying their snow day reading, knitting, and working on their snow day school work, while the chickens, ducks, and rabbits appear to be very happy inside their new home.
(Yes I know the video is rather dark, this was taken early this morning.)
You did not misread above either, yes I meant rabbits
Meet Noël, she is beautiful satin angora rabbit, a year and a half old. Brontë was not coming out of her shell as much as I hoped and the lady I bought her from posted an ad listing more rabbits. So I went and picked up Noël and after a day they have warmed up to each other. So much so that now Brontë will run up to be pet, where before she would run away.
I’m still working on orders, I finished these two cat hats for a lovely woman out in Kentucky
And I am finishing up a tiger for a nice young man out in Canada!
In between everything else we have gotten our tree up.
Have a great week folks!
