Non stop

The kids are now out of school and counting down the days until camp starts! They have been trying to stay busy

Reading books in the barn

Helping move birds to the next area

And visiting Boston for the first time.

We had a took a bus Sunday afternoon and spent the day exploring, that evening a child who claimed she could not swim without a life jacket, spent three hours in a pool after realizing, she could indeed swim without a life jacket!

Monday we spent the day at the Boston aquarium,  before catching a bus back home. A short but packed full of fun visit!

We came home to a wonderful unexpected surprise

I thought it would be at least a year before the plants had fruit but lo and behold!

We have lots of yummy foods popping up!

I’ve been revamping my craft room, Toph put a new shelf down there for my fabric, which turned into a big purge.

Most of this fabric has found new homes, though it’s nice to start almost from scratch.

I still have a ways to go, but I feel like it has helped me a lot. Sometimes I get in a funk and I just don’t want to craft at all, purging definitely helped and now I am crossing my fingers for a nice rainy day…an excuse to stay inside and knit or crochet or sew as much as I want.

Have a great day folks!

Goings on

I think with all the craziness with Toph, Moose, and the chickens, we haven’t had time to settle down and breath until this week. So it’s time to play catch up!I have made so very many hats for the craft fair

I’ve actually made two more since this picture was taken, they aren’t finished just yet though, as I am now working on the flowers

Yes I know that flower is two big, I had taken the picture for my friend a size comparison and to help me decided if the flower colors went well together. It took three days to find the right combination and a lot of frogging went on.

Remember that blue faced lecister I spun up awhile back? My quilting group entered a bunch of homemade projects in one of the local fairs and lo and behold I won! Though I will add that I have no idea if there was previously a category at this fair for homespun wool, our guild leader took all the items over and didn’t say if there were other entries, so I may have won buy default.

As always when I change my craftroom around I like to show you all, I had taken over the dining room as a sewing room this past month. We usually eat in at the kitchen table anyway and I needed a good sturdy table, so in an attempt to gain the dining room back, Toph went out and bought be a six foot folding table, and after moving around my craftroom, I am really liking how it looks, and how easy it is to move around

Believe it or not, this entry has taken two days to write, and as it is now 10:23 pm 😴 I will leave you with pictures and a video.

We’ve had a couple of big furry visitors on our road lately

Have a great night folks!
