Sheep!!!

Happy Mother’s Day to all you mothers out there! I just spent the afternoon at my favorite event of the year, The New Hampshire Sheep and Wool Festival! We had fun dodging raindrops and admiring all the beautiful yarn and delicious wool.

The kids were very much in love with this little lamb.

We talked to a lot of vendors who helped in my mission to get my own little flock, as of today they have jumped the list ahead of highland cattle. I thank you all!

My goal this year was to purchase wool I had never spun before

I got an ounce of Teeswater, an ounce of Leicester longwool, a pound of Cotswold, and then the large bag is Romney which of course I did spin last year, but I couldn’t walk away from it.

I am very excited to get this all clean and spun up, I’ve been testing out a few new yarn dyeing techniques and well…I may never go buy yarn at the store again.

I just realized that it is two days past my four year blogaversary!!!! Once again I would love to say thank you to everyone who follows me, even though I rarely make clothes or finish anything I do start. I try, I really do, and I appreciate you coming back regardless.

To all my new readers, Welcome to my blog, I hope you are enjoying it so far…if not stay tuned for all the baby animals.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers & mothers to be, also to all the Fathers out there out take on the role of both mom & dad!!

Have a great week folks!!
